Jennifer Lopez

JenniferJennifer was always hoping to become a multitasking superstar. She was an avid fan of diverse music styles when she was a child, and particularly Afro-Caribbean beats, such as merengue, salsa, and merengue and bachata. In her later years, her top genres were mainstream pop-hop, R&B, and hip-hop. She was a lover of music, but was fascinated with the cinema industry. Her biggest influence was the Rita Moreno musical, West Side Story (1961). At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer, besides being an entertainer and Catholic schoolgirl, attended for eight years of Holy Family Catholic Elementary School in The Bronx. After a four-year stay, she graduated from Preston High School, an all-girls preparatory school. When she was at high school, Jennifer was an amazing athlete, and played track and field and tennis. Her home in the Castle Hill neighbourhood was her house for the duration of her life. At 18, Jennifer moved out of her parent's house. Lopez could work at a law office in this time, while engaging in dancing during the night.
